Questions and answers
Everything we know you will ask. Anything else, text us.
How much does wash and fold cost?
$1.75 per pound. Loads of 14 lb or less are a $25 flat rate.
How do I know what I will pay?
We weigh your laundry right at the counter when you drop it off, so you know your exact price before we begin.
How long does it take?
Your laundry is ready in 48 hours or less, and we text you as soon as it is ready for pickup.
How do I schedule a drop-off?
Text 208-934-3346. Drop-off appointments are offered on select days and times. Until our online scheduling is ready, we schedule by text only, so we never miss a request.
Can I just walk in?
Right now drop-offs are by appointment. Text us first and we will find a time that works.
Do you offer pickup and delivery?
Yes, as needed. Text us and we will set it up, or use the quote form on the contact page.
What should I bring my laundry in?
Disposable bags. A standard 13-gallon kitchen garbage bag works well.
How much laundry fits in a kitchen bag?
A standard 13-gallon kitchen bag holds about 15 to 20 lb of everyday laundry, depending on what is in it. For many adults that is a week of laundry, about $30.
Will my clothes come back folded?
Yes. We fold everything neatly and bag it, so it stays clean, protected and ready to go.
What detergent do you use?
Premium detergents that leave a long-lasting fresh scent.
Can you wash workwear, hunting gear, pet bedding or rugs?
Yes. We tackle the tough stuff you do not want in your home machines: dairy and farm workwear, camping and hunting gear, pet laundry and rugs.
Do you do laundry for businesses?
Yes. We do bulk laundry for local salons, restaurants, care homes, groomers and daycares, and more. Text us about your volume and schedule.
Where are you?
921 N Lincoln Ave Suite B, Jerome, Idaho 83338, in the same building as Jerome Handy Wash (Suite A).
Is Take A Load Off the same as Jerome Handy Wash?
They are neighbors in the same building. Jerome Handy Wash, in Suite A, is a 24 hour self-service laundromat where you run the machines yourself. Take A Load Off, in Suite B, is a wash and fold service: you drop off, and we do the washing, drying and folding.
Are you open yet?
We are opening soon, and you can try us out early: text us to schedule a drop-off.
